  • Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) helps retrain the muscles of the face, tongue, and mouth to work together properly for healthy breathing, chewing, swallowing, and speech. When these muscles don’t function as they should, it can lead to mouth breathing, open-mouth posture, snoring, tongue thrust, picky eating, messy swallowing, speech sound errors, or orthodontic concerns. Through gentle, personalized exercises and habit training, OMT supports proper tongue posture, nasal breathing, and overall oral function—helping children and adults breathe through their nose, sleep deeper, speak more clearly, and develop appropriately.

  • Speech Therapy

At To The Top Myo & Speech, speech sound therapy is all about helping kids and adults speak clearly and feel confident while doing it. Whether it’s a lisp or tricky sounds like /s/, /z/, /r/, /l/, /sh/, /ch/, /th/, /t/, /d/, or /n/, therapy sessions are personalized, engaging, and designed to make progress fun. Using a supportive and encouraging approach, we work on correct tongue placement, muscle coordination, and awareness of how sounds are made—so speech becomes easier, clearer, and more natural in everyday life.

  • Tongue & Lip Ties: Pre/Post Care

Tongue & Lip Ties: Pre/Post Care

A myofunctional therapist plays a crucial role in both preparing for and recovering from a frenectomy. Before the procedure, we will carefully evaluate tongue mobility and muscle function to spot any habits or restrictions that could impact functional outcomes. Through personalized exercises, we strengthen and coordinate these muscles, ensuring patients are well-prepared for a release. After the frenectomy, we continue to support recovery by guiding patients through targeted movements that reduce tightness and enhance oral function post-op in collaboration with their release provider. This specialized care not only aids in achieving optimal function but also improves speech, swallowing, and overall oral health and development, making myofunctional therapy an essential component of a successful frenectomy outcome. Note: If your release provider did not mention therapy pre-op or post-op, this is a red flag. Please give us a call before your release so we can help guide you.

  • Feeding & Swallowing Therapy

Is your child a picky eater? Messy eater? Not chewing food efficiently?

Feeding and swallowing therapy helps children develop the skills they need to eat safely, confidently, and efficiently. At To The Top Myo & Speech, sessions are designed to make mealtimes less stressful for both kids and parents by addressing challenges such as picky eating, food aversions, difficulty chewing or swallowing, gagging, or prolonged mealtimes. Using a gentle, evidence-based approach, therapy focuses on improving oral motor strength, coordination, and sensory comfort with foods while supporting positive, pressure-free feeding experiences. The goal is to help each child build healthy habits for lifelong nourishment and success at the table.
